Factory 47 Gloss Black 12" Rivera Apes

I know a lot of people have been looking for photos of these bad boys, so I've done my best to make sure I take as many photos compared to the stock bars so everyone can see the difference. Wiring wasn't bad, just take your time and double check things a few times before pulling the wires and everything is easy as can be with these 1.5 inch bars. I also had to purchase another set of grips because my clutch side Kuryakyn ISO grip was glued into place with half the earths remaining grip glue.... pissed me off to no end that they used THAT much. I did some searching and did not want to glue these new grips on, so I followed a few others advise- I applied a few layers of electrical tape to the bar and then snugged the grip onto place. It feels solid as can be, so I am going to leave it as-is for now.... My new grips I went with are the Kuryakyn Kinetic grips.... feel nice and look good too, a few rides will really tell me how they are. Anyway, I'll shut up and let the photos do the talking!!

Has anyone tried installing grips with the tape they use to put grips on golf clubs?

I still haven't put on my Riveras but I give you credit for braving that outside temp to install yours. If your balls ever drop and you get to ride it soon I'd love to hear how you like them. Nice job!

Most of the threads I read are guys using electrical tape or friction tape. I think you'd have a similar outcome with golf/baseball bat tape as well. They way I saw it, I rather spend a few bucks on tape then waste $90+ to buy new grips. You can always go back and glue it if you opted to, but I'm very happy with the results with the tape.
