Heated grips on a 2000?

I have a 2000 CVO roadglide and have been debating whether or not I should put heated grips and gear on it. I’m not sure the stator puts out enough juice for it. I have heated grips and gear on my 2019 CVO and it werks great. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Welcome to the forum. Does it already have a 45 amp or still have the 38 amp charging system? HD sells a 45 amp upgrade thatís pretty simple to change out https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...ng-system#tabs

I’m not sure. That’s all the upgrade is? Just the rotor?

I’m not sure how I can check to see what I have. I’m pretty sure it’s the stock rotor.
