From the Custom Chrome Catalog, Part Number 693670 are the Santees 11" in Chrome, 693671 are the 11" Santees in Black. A few of us here have part number 693673, Santees 14" in black. Chrome part number for 14"s is 693672.
Just wanted to make sure these are the ones you are planning on getting.
Take a look at my pics and slowglide2989s pictures and you will see our 14" Santees. his are pushed straight up, mine are in line with the Fork angle.
This should give you a good idea of what the 11"s will look like + a couple inches. i would imagine they are similar to the Chubby Outlaw 12"s if you need a height comparison. Let me know if you have other questions. They are great bars, and you wont have to change out any cables or wiring.

I'd like to see some bikes with 11 in Santees as well.

DED, I've seen all your photos ... your bars (and bike), look great! You've inspired me to consider Santee apes instead of Wild One Chubbys because they're half the price and still look good. Even though I'm taller than you are (6 ft. even), I'm just a little concerned the 14s will be too tall for me. (was going to go with W1's 10in mini apes)

You're completely satisfied with the 14s? What about the general quality of the bars? No complaints?

Since I'll be installing these myself, I'd also like to hear from someone who's done it and if the included pull wire was actually a help?

Dang, making up my mind about bars is becoming harder and harder. Was all set to go with the Heritage Style bars because of lower cost and easier install, (even though the Wild 1s were the ultimate goal) but the Santees aren't that much more.

I have 14s on my bike im 5'10" and I run the bars basically straight up. My arms are at shoulder height and it is very comfortable, I originally considered the 11s and after riding the bike with the 14s I am really glad I went with the taller bars. I will try to get a pic with me sitting on the bike.

How do you look at pics? I would like to see the 14's in action. My dad just put 16's on his Heritage. Maybe a little tall for me. I am also 5' 10" . I wanted the Carlini Evil Apes but am considering the Gangster Apes. $350 is pretty expensive tho.

HD Shock, im only 5'6" and am completely satisfied with them and a huge improvement over the stock bars. I had my stock bars pulled back as close as they could come to me, and still found myself reaching for them and had bad shoulder pains. Ive put most of my miles on with the stock bars. I havent had any shoulder pains with these Santees. I always heard people say they wish they would have gone taller when buying apes, so I figured, i would go a little taller. The added height on these bars for me, when setting them with the angle of the forks, allow the bars to come back closer to me. I think slowglide2989 is 6 ft or taller and he runs his bars straight up and down. One benefit of these bars is that they are designed to be ran at any angle, Comfortable pulled back as well as pushed forward. I too had a hell of a time deciding what to get. I really wanted something with a lot of pullback. These are the bars. I really wanted the Chubbys outlaws 12"s but decided there just wasnt enough pullback on those bars. My dealer did the install of the bars, but they told me they didnt have any troubles with them. Im sure the pull wire is helful otherwise they wouldnt put it in there. I think slowglide2989 installed his own, so you may want to PM him and ask about how that went.
Dirtbag, the pics I am referring to are in my threads. If there isnt a large image in the post, click on the small photo and it will zoom in on the image. If you are having trouble still, I can email ya the pics.

Thanks DEDHD. Just ordered the Santee 693670. Did you have to change

RobinCin, so you went with the 11"s huh? Cool! cant wait to see how they look! I didnt have to change any cables with my 14"s, but I got a +4" clutch cable so I could route it in the stock location next to the speedo. I was concerned with stretching the stock cable otherwise, and just wanted to be safe. Now i kind of dont like the stock location and thinking i should route in down through the triple trees like slowglide2989 and I think Chainsaw routed his that way too.
Just saw you have an 09, you shouldnt have any problems using your stock wiring and cables with the 11"s.

Thanks for the info DED. Yeah, I've heard "wish I would've went higher" quite a bit too. I think I've even read where our pink tutu'd lady rider, Tracy has said she wished for 16s instead of 14s, lol! I wonder if any RG riders have wished they actually went shorter? Changing bars isn't exactly painless ... definitely not a place for decision mistakes. To be honest, I thought taller apes on RGs looked kind of silly at first - now they've kind of grown on me and yours helped quite a bit in the growing process!

One more question: With your 14 inchers, if you reroute the clutch cable through the triple tress like you're considering, do you think you could've gotten by with the stock cable? I'll be self-installing so the less labor involved, the better. Think I've pretty much made up my mind on the Santees - just a matter of the 11s or 14s.

Still like to see some pics with 11s installed. ROBINCN - that's your que!
