i just put a set on the wife's bike (wo517). after doing a lot of research, and looking at pics, she decided on these bars. partly because they were very similar to her old beach bars on her rk custom. (and partly because of some of the reviews here on this site, and partly cause we got a great deal on a set)
after installing them, she loves them. allows her to lean back more, bend her arms more, and just in general feel more relaxed and a more comfortable wrist position for her.
me, on the other hand, have added this to the list of jobs that i don't ever want to do again. it started off easy enough, was just gonna do a quick mock up so she could check them out and make sure that they were what she wanted. well, that quickly went south. because they aren't dimpled, if you want to put the controls on, you have to internally wire them. left side not so bad, right side was a royal pita with the control wires running one way and the tbw wires running the other. plus, they say that it's pretty easy to take the plugs apart but i couldn't get it so i had to cut the plugs off and resolder the wires afterwards. over 30 freakin solder joints!!!!
but it's done, and she's happy. so thats a good thing.
I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.
