16 and 18 gauge is what they are wired with. They sell that sized wire in almost any auto parts store. Thing is that the tool to crimp the late style wire ends on with is expensive, as are the wire ends and connector housings.

What year fender asm to what year scooter are you doing.

I would probably start with the fender harness that fits the fender, that way all the connectors to the lamps are there.

Then if you get lucky, it will plug right into the existing plug on the scooter. If not, you'll only have the wires at that one connector to sort out. Probably just the need to splice them into the original connector.

If your scooter is new enough to have cannbuss, then you might run into some issues with that.

18 gauge wire will not fit inside the deutsch connector or the deutsch pin that is used to connect the tail lights - and the bike is a 2013

Are you talking about the little flat connector back where the lamps plug in? Those are not Deutsh. They are Tyco/AMP multilock something or other. They use a terminal all their own and an AMP tool to crimp them. I've never done much more than release the terminals from them and plug them into other connector housings. Never crimped one or had that tool in my hand. The ones I've seen on Harleys are 18-20 gauge wire, just by looking at it.
