CD flatz

Has anyone taken off the stock brake/turn signal lights and just used the fillers or flatz from custom dynamics? Curious if they're bright enough by themselves. Plan on keeping the bottom single tail light. I plan on putting more on the bag but curious if I'll still be visible with just the flatz.

I sometimes ride with a guy that done just that. He has the plasma rods, bag lip lights and the lower tri light. they are still bright when he brakes and turns.
