Plasma rods with ext. fender/bags

I really like having the extra visibility with the 8" plasma rods, but since I added the extended fender and bags my mount location on the sides of the OEM fender ext was eliminated. I was thinking I could mount them on the sides of the bag but would need to unplug them when ever I need to remove the bags? Any thoughts, or has anyone else done this? Here is a pic of the fender/bags

From the pic, looks like there is still a gap there between the bag and fender. You sure it will not go back into that location? May have to wrap the 3m tape along the back edge of fender.

Yea..way to tight..actually bends fender ext in. Was wondering if there was a way to shim bag out about 1/8" and I think it would be money..

Not for nothing, but you may want to call CD and ask them if there is any way they can put the tape on the back of the Plasmarods so you can mount it on the face of the fender valence rather than the side of it.

That or maybe they have a new solution that they can tell you about. I have found them extremely helpful and worse case, is they tell you your SOL.

I had the same problem so I cut a section of the fender fascia the width of the radius and as long as the plasma rod. I then bent some aluminum to a 90 and as long as the plasma
rod and used 3m trim tape to the angle and the plasma rod. That put the rod flush with the fascia and no contact with the bag.
