ACC Power Wire

Where is a good place (under the seat) to tap for ignition power? What color wire should I look for? I'm using a Posi-tap and don't want to connect wire directly to the battery positive terminal. BTW, I own an electrical manual but lend it out and don't have it in hand right now. It's a 2015 RGS. Thanks in advance.

Under the left side cover is a gray plug that has what your looking for. You can get a plug in harness from HD.

Last ride, you happen to know which wire is powered by the ignition in there? I'm using a Posi-tap to hook up my positive with such wire, not wanting to go the HD harness route. Thanks.

Not off hand, check it with a test light.

Anyone else looking for the hot ignition wire, I was able to pinpoint it with the help of the electrical manual. It's located behind the left side panel, the last plug (grey) nearest to the ground. Look for the red and yellow wire, that's the ACC.
