Adding LightBar to TourPak

I'm sure this has been covered but I searched and it didn't jump out and bite me.

Just picked up a 2019 CVO RG and will be ordering a Tour Pak shortly. My wife wants me to add the light bar she sees on the Ultras.

Will this work ? Does HD sell an adapter to split this off of the rear lights wires (like Ciro does) ?

If you think there are better options out there, please let me know.

Thanks

that should work , or just order the tour pak with the lights already installed , there will probably be rear speaker pods in the one with the lights as well

I sawpped out all my lights on my RGU's for ones with the smoked lenses and the light bar you linked-to is easy enough to install IF your tour-pak comes pre-drilled. Can't really speak to how difficult it is if you have to do the drilling yourself. If you want to add the lights, I would check with your parts department to see if it is possible to order a tour-pak with all the holes for the lights (and luggage rack if you plan on adding one too) already drilled. I would also recommend getting the Tour-Pak Side Marker Lights as well since they add more lights to help you be seen.

I'll stop by and ask this weekend. I added a TP to my 2013 RGC years ago and I think that the only option then was without holes since the color isn't available on Ultra models. At the time they also made it seem that the wiring would be very hard (replace the whole wiring harness, etc.) so I never pursued it. I see that aftermarket is just providing a splice into the wires already going to the rear so it can't be that hard.

If you don't have a luggage rack or are not going to add one Kuryakyn has a pretty rad light bar that mounts in the indentation on top of the pak. I'm considering going this route for myself. And I think even if you do put a rack on, it won't get in the way.

Fits very well, plug and play harness. Will fit fine with a rack, just not seen as well. Love mine. I got it in chrome.

I went with HarleyArcher's idea. The CD light bar is barely noticeable when not on but really bright when you hit the brakes.
