Headlight for 16 RGU

Well I guess a rock to the headlight is better than a rock to the face!

Anyways I have been using Custom Dynamics for years and have loved all their stuff and was wondering if anyone has used the headlight on their RG? I mean I wasn't unhappy with the stock and was thinking of trying to find a used one on ebay. The one on there now is $500 and CD is like $800. Insurance deductible is $500 so not worth the claim.

Thoughts/opinions???

Did it chip the paint above the light or is that bird/bug crap?

That rock went pretty high up. Had one take out the air conditioning on my truck in the summer 5 hours from home.

OY, glad you're alright. That's a nasty "chip".

Thanks yeah not complaining about the price of the light. Definitely cheaper than a visit to the hospital.

Yeah it is a small scrape once I wiped the rock dust off it was barely noticeable. Try to remember to get a pic in the morning.

I did find this on ebay

I just installed the custom dynamics headlight last week, unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to ride it at night yet. It’s pretty slick and an easy install.

Did you go chrome or black? I am having a hard time deciding between the two at this point... Stock was black with chrome reflector so it had a mix of both.

I went with the black, figured I have enough chrome everywhere else. They call it “black chrome” since it is still reflective. I’m happy with the way it looks. Here is pic with it off, not sure you can really gauge what how it looks.

Man that helps a lot. Thanks! I had just found another guy on here that had installed the chrome one. Surprisingly there isn't a lot of pics out there yet.

True. An acquaintance of mine fractured his leg from a rock kicked up from a truck. He now wears shin and knee protection when he rides.
