Vibration

2011 RGU 2800 rpm and up start to get vibration 2,3,4 gear 5th and 6th
gear over 3000 rpm the vibration is all through the bike. At 85 mph my head shakes. Could the compensator cause this. Tires new and balance
Bike did run smooth at high speeds 80 to 105 know problems Any Ideas

Easiest and cheapest place to start is plugs and wires. My wife had a bad plug wire, massive corrosion, and it caused exactly what you describe. I changed her plugs, and while I was plugging in the front wire, it felt "different". Looked inside the boot, and it looked like a corroded battery. New wires, and her bike runs really smooth now.

Thanks but plugs new and wires good was set up on dyno

Then the vibration should have happened on the dyno. Maybe the tech wasn't that good if he didn't notice the vibration.

Sounds like it could be a tranny or clutch bearing starting to go bad.
It may be possible that the compensator could cause this if the nut holding the compensator on backed off, but you should have had some other symptoms if that was the case.
Also you should check the rear pulley bearing if the bearing goes out on the rear pulley it will cause vibrations. Check wheel bearing too.

Could also be:
- the tune
- motor mount, damage or loose
- loose or broken exhaust mount
- wheel bearings
- inner primary bearing
- overly tight primary chain
- shifted flywheels

tire vibration is usually fairly low frequency, about 60hz around 70mph.

+1 With what is listed. Check the rear muffler isolator bushings for the exhaust. Could be the rubber isolators are shot or have vibrated out
