Cam shopping for my 2015 RGS

Hello all. Just purchased a 2015 RGS 10 days ago. Logged 1200 miles and have done a thundermax tuner, D&D Fatcat 2 into 1, and a Perf Machine air cleaner and now contemplating cam upgrades. A friend has a 2014 SGS w HS SE Race tuner, 259e cams and ugraded valve springs, RC Comp intake, V&H Power FLow header 2into1into2 and it runs strong. Im thinking about the 259e as wellm but also the Woods 555 or 777 as well as the Zippers Red Shift 575.
Any input appreciated

Do you ride two up a lot? Do you run over 4500 rpm a lot?

Priscilla- 11 RGU VB with FM intake, HP, DT mufflers and FM tune.

So many to pick from where to start?
On this forum you can go into dyno section and look at dyno sheets with different combos of cams and exhaust.
The other questions are where do you want your power band to be?
Low to Mid?
Mid to High?
Also do you want a cam to grow with your build with add compression etc.,

Here are a few we install and tune almost every week.
Tman 555tq- 555c- or 600sm
Wild things 24-D cams
Andrews 57
Dragos 565 or 580

I hope this helps you out.
Some may forums with lot's of good data in dynos sections

Thanks FD

With a heavy touring bike, torque is paramount.
Torque being a twisting motion, creates acceleration.
A high rpm cam in a bike such a Road Glide is ludicrious.
If you want to feel as the bike lost 150-200 lbs, then a Wood 222, or for that matter an Andrews 48.
WE(not someone else, for us) developed several cams over the years and have well over 100,000 collective miles on them in several different combinations, all over the country.
Extraordinary power throughout the entire rpm band.......but decided NOT to release them as there are already waaaay to many cams out there, and we did not feel the need for another.
Also had Comp Cams grind the .813" lift cam for our AHDRA Modified Class drag bike............over 16 years ago......... long before these message boards.................

Here are some dyno sheets with many of the cams we have used and others have.
There are many more in the Dyno section I will post many more for you....

All these dyno sheets will make that Road Glide more nicely down the road you can see where the TQ... comes in and where it ends..
And on the new 2014 and 15 with the added compression these cams will work even better for.....

All these Dyno sheets are in the dyno section with many other cams Like
255 se cams
SE 204 Cams
Tman 577
Fueling 525
Andrews 48 and 54
Etc.,
you get the point... I hope this helps you out..... Good luck with your search.

First one is our Dragos 565 bolt in 2012 stock 103. Dragula 2:1

There must be more to the story on the 222/Rinehart duals combo. Its (way) better than any of the ones with 2-1 you posted, which is counter intuitive. Even the best true duals arent better than a 2-1 from a performance perspective. I have a 107 with true duals and 777s (stock heads), and we're about the same.

Thoughts?

If you are looking at peak numbers they mean nothing in the area you ride from
A good tq cam comes in early like 2100/2200 rpm and breaks 100 ft tq and that also changes with exhaust systems where it moves the curve left to right.

The dyno sheets I posted are in the dyno section and there story behind them on what was done.

If you are saying your 107 with woods 777 made the same as a stock 103 with woods 222 then you might want to look into your motor or who ever tuned it or better exhaust.

A 107 with cams stock heads and good exhaust make around 98/104HP and 110/116 tq. from what we see on my dyno. I can not speak for others with there dynos.
