2013 RG with ping at WOT

Purchased a 13 Road glide about a month ago from local HD. The bike had 6k miles on it and has been tuned at that HD with mastertune 2 and also has V&h power dual headers with v&h monster round mufflers. No other mods to the bike. My problem is that it has a noticeable ping (like a spring jumping around ) when I'm at WOT and above 4000rpms. Took to dealership and they rode it 10 miles after it was cooled off and said they can't duplicate ping. I believe they can't duplicate it because it only does it when at WOT and above 3800-4000 rpms and they probably aren't pushing it to that. What to do next?? Tuning issue?

Re tune it with a real tuner (someone that really knows what they are doing who usually doesn't usually work at a HD dealer..) sooner rather than later. Not something you want to mess around with.

My 13 was the same way. A canned flash isn't going to fix it. Your bike is running to lean and the timing is off. As stated above, get a real tune on it or run a fully adjustable tuner/programmer.

Fdxguy- that's what I'm thinking as well. HD tries to pretnd what I'm hearing is normal for the heavy touring bikes but it's bullsh*t. What about those vance&hines tuners with auto tune??

A tuner with auto tune needs the 18mm closed loop O2 sensors and if you don't have them then the tuner isn't a true auto tune.
A tuner that has auto tune ONLY AUTO TUNES THE AFR it does NOT tune or adjust timing, the engine timing needs to be adjusted manually.
You problem is in the timing and it isn't in the AFR so a timing adjustment needs to be done to get the ping out.
As mentioned a good tune would be needed by a competent tuner tech.

I'm in Northeast GA and have not a clue of any reputable tuners around me. I'm sure there is some within driving distance but not sure of them

Call Bill at Woods Performance tuning. He is in Cartersville Ga and he's awesome. He tuned my 124 with TTS and it flat out runs perfect!
