Mr. Drago's cams

Hi: Mr.Drago,Could you give me a quick explanation why your 580 cam is (mild too wild) and how it is different than your 565 cam ? I am still reserving my late winter early spring build.
Thanx.

I have a set of Dragos 580s. I like them. I like to run in a higher rpm range than a lot of guys, so it suits me well. For me, they come to life about 2500 or so and pull all the way through to redline.

Do they work well without head work? I'm seeing my build budget dissolve before my eyes.

The 580 is a cam that works better with more engine work.
This cam is our std cam for our Diablo 2.0 and 2.5 kits
It works great also in stock 103 but power band is more mid/top end

Our new 565 is bottom end to mid range and works well with stock compression and 10:25:1 not any higher than that.

Frank: Did I read somewhere that you are tweaking the 565 to produce a little more power higher in the rpm range?
Thanx for your quick reply! As I'm sure you are very busy.
