Rushmore Cam upgrade opinion

Another cam opinion post... iv hit the search, read many posts, but still haven't found quite what I'm looking for.

So, I'm interested in upgrading my cam in my 2015 rgs. 103ci, Bassani rr2 2=1 exhaust, intake, power vision. I don't spend much time at all highway cruising. We spend 90% of our time on back country roads, riding quick, hammering the corners. Rolling on and off the throttle between 4th-5th gear, 60-75 mph. I understand how the cams work, but with so many different companies and products, I'm having difficulty coming up with choices. Im not really looking for more 6th gear passing power, but more along the line of mid range, corner to corner performance

Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should be looking into?

Iv been reading a lot about the Andrews 57h. I found it for sale on amazon, but amazon states 07-13. Should still work for the 15s, if fits the 13s right? Can anyone validate this?

Yes, the Andrews 57H fits 2008 all the way to the 16 Big twin Harley Davidson's. A great choice for what you are looking for. Just look at my dyno sheet on this cam in my 16. You will see that this cam comes on from about 2500 rpm and hangs strong all the way to 5500 rpm. It will shine at the rpm's you are talking about. I did a lot of searching a few years back and talked to Gary Andrews at Andrews cams and he talked with me for probably over 1 hour about cams and about choices. He was a really big help and explained that they developed this cam exclusively for the touring bike in mind and the type of riding we do. Hope this helps.

57Hs

I have the Andrews 57Hs in my 12 RGC, i researched my cam choice for over a year. I went with Andrews because of their price and the fact that they cut the cams for most other Labels. I couldn't be happier, with just a cam swap, my HP/TQ jumped from 76/78 to 99/115 respectively. I will always look at Andrews first.

Those are very strong number, I would be absolutely stoked to join the 100hp club lol. Other than the cam, what addition item must be changed, other than tune and gaskets. Do the stock Pushrods have to be swapped out in order to run this cam?

I am also planning on doing the 57H cam sometime soon. Alot of dyno sheets and info out there, and ditto about them making cams for other companies. Definitely a great cam for the needs you mentioned. Another option is the TW222 cam. Similar in specs and powerband where you're looking. But significantly more $$. You may want adjustable pushrods, but stockers will work from my understanding. You may also wanna upgrade the lifter/tappets to S&S while you're in the cam chest and of course a quality inner bearing replacement. Good luck and post your results when you decide!

I recently installed SE585 with adjustable pushrods and I love the difference it made. Very pleased with overall performance improvement.

I'm not sure what tuner you are running but reducing the amount of compensator or trans sprocket will give you what you need as well. Bigger rear sprocket will reduce the gears and put the power more where you want it too.

I'm another happy 57H customer. Don't go cheap on the lifters. I did and now I need to change them out. Trying to go cheap will end up costing more this time.

2011 Road Glide Ultra, Andrews 57H, VeeTwin Performance street port, Big Sucker Intake, Rhinehart 2/1 w 4" muffler, Power commander V, Paugcho 17" bars, Stock seat recovered with leather, Michelin Comander II 140/80B front, Yokohama Envigor 205/60/16 rear. It's better on the dark side.

OK guys, I have OFFICIALLY ordered my Andrews 57H cams!!! Coming in April 29th

Is there anything else I must order to complete the install? I got Oil, cams, bearings, and gasket.
