2016 103" cam choice

Just put crusher duals, rinehart slip ons and V&H fp3 tuner on my 2016 RG. Ride single 200lbs. Heavy handed. If I'm understanding correctly the hydraulics and chain driven cams limit usable rpm so I thinking more midrange gains without huge loss at low end. Would like to stick with stock compression if possible, but if difference could be significant I might change head gaskets to up the compression.
Was looking at Kuryakyn TC24-d cams. Any others you would recommend? If heads come off should I stick with factory pr's? Lastly, any thoughts on best remover installer? I plan to do the work myself. 32 years auto experience. Limited MC work.

One of the best overall cams to come along that makes good hp and tq with not much involved is the Andrews 57H cams. If you do a .030 head gasket, good air filter, 100 hp and 112 tq is capable with a great tune.

Forgot to mention used a Street Sleeper air cleaner with K&N filter. Do you think I would get 10.1 with the gasket change?

For a stock 103" look no further than an Andrews 48 cam. If bumping the compression a bit with a thinner head gasket, then the Andrews 57 is a no brainer.

I ran the numbers last night on Big Boyz calculator. With the pistons down in the holes .007 which is kind of normal with the Andrews 57 it shows it would put the compression right at 10.2 with a corrected compression of 9.49:1 and cold cranking compression of 196 @ 554 ft above sea level. How far your pistons are down in the hole determine your final numbers.

I'd put an eyeball on a Cyclerama .575 @ 10.0 cr.
Not a magic cam, but it sure do work well!

Agree. Couple tuners I know also say how well they "tune in". The dyno results I've seen look very good.

There is no real advantage in changing from the stock cam. The stock 103 HO cam with a good exhaust and intake upgrade can produce 114 ft lbs of torque when the bike is tuned correctly. Changing cams is only necessary in the 2013 and earlier models.

I am pretty new here, but from all I have read 105 to 110 ft. pounds torque Is all you can get out of a stock ho. l03. without going with a better cam. Im getting 86hp, and 105 ft. pounds torque on my HO 103 with Dresser duals, Rinehart slip ons and big sucker breather.

The different exhaust choice may make some more torque but a good tuner and a dyno tune by the right dyno tech will help, also humidity and elevation has some effect on dyno read out.
Whats wrong with 105 ft lbs of torque? Even if you did get a cam and get 110 ft lbs of torque will you really feel the difference?
The only advantage of changing cams is you may be able to move the torque curve either more towards the top end or low end of the power band. With the touring models moving the torque toward the low end is better then moving it towards the top end if you are just a normal rider.
