Excessive Vibration?

Not sure if im just being picky or if there is an actual issue. I have just been noticing a little more vibration with engine idle and throttle, notice it more on throttle. Now i know vibration is normal, but this feels odd. Vibrates my right mirror.

Only about 2500 miles on it, not sure if it is something I should even worry about, mainly feel it under load. I know with the new bars, and the poly bushings that I will feel more vibration but just wondering at what point should i be concerned and whether or not i should take it to Harley.

When you say that you feel it under load what is the RPM at? Is it a certain RPM or is it felt throughout many RPM ranges?

notice it most when acceleration through the gears. once I'm at cruising speed it seems to be less noticeable. I don't recall the RPM, have to pay attention at what its at when I notice vibration the most.

about 3000 rpm is when the mirror starts to buzz. I am not complaining, i just thought it was a bit odd. I never had this condition with my old 1995 EVO. Maybe its just still breaking in.

Hard to tell if it is normal with text unfortunately. A vibration in the bike and a buzz in the mirror are two different things to me.

I was going to wonder if this is your first Harley but it is not. Is the mirror buzz a noise you are hearing or just when you look in the mirror the image has a slight shake to it distorting it?

You did say you have new bars and if it was not there before that and is now I would say it is something to do with the bars. I would expect both mirrors to exhibit the same behavior though.

Did you check that all bolts are tightened and have not loosened up? It sounds like you paid somebody to perform the work. It could not hurt to take it back, explain what you are noticing, and see what they think.

Sorry, mirror buzz, vibration...poor descriptions. So I think im just feeling more of the engine vibration the last couple of weeks. I just put new mirrors on so that's one thing that makes it noticeable, maybe its an illusion, now that I see the mirror getting blurry from the vibes I then notice it everywhere else.

Ive had the bars on it for a while now, this is just something new ive noticed.

At 3000 rpm though I do feel more vibration than at lower rpms. Like I said I am not complaining, it was just something new that I noticed and wanted to make sure it wasn't something more serious. I definitely wouldn't take it to the dealer for this so I thought I would ask on here.

When ever something changes on one of my motorcycles, I always go back to how it was before the issue just to make sure that is not a problem. I would switch back to the old mirrors and see what you have.

I did not take it as you complaining. I would not hesitate to take to the dealer and have them go for a test ride to let you know what they think.

I had a rattle / buzz I could not find on my V-ROD, had a great mechanic take it for a test ride and he found when he put his finger on my mirror glass (custom mirrors) that it was making the rattle sound. I felt kind of dumb that I could not find that but I was glad to know what it was and able to fix it.

Had a rider that rode with some friends of mine about a month ago and he said on the way home his new break out had a bad vibration and could hardly hold onto the bars.now forward ahead to last Sunday.we meet up again for a ride with us and told us he took his bike to the dealer and harley requested the dealer to pressurize the engine they did and it failed,Harley told the dealer to send the motor back to them and the put a new motor in his bike and now it's all good.

I just want to make sure those who are saying oh my, it's a Harley, it's going to vibrate...know that I'm not whining or complaining. haha. It was just something different. I don't hear any noises, just feel it in the bars and then see it in the mirror too.

Going to put some more miles on it, see if it changes with the different temps, cooler and less humid.

Thanks for all the feedback
