Andrews 57H - 2015 RGU CVO

Searching through threads and seems, many like the Andrews 57 in 103, not much info on 110's. Not a lot of info on the CVO site either.

In my last RG, 2012 103 I ran with woods 222. I liked the TQ but always wanted more in higher RPM's.

Current Setup 2015 RGU CVO:
  • V&H Titan OS 450 exhaust
  • FM Jackpot 2/1/2 ceramic headers
  • Power Vison tuner
  • K&N filter
  • Dyno tuned 93hp/113tq

Have a few questions for those running in the CVO's.
  • Any heat increase after adding the cams
  • What kind of dyno numbers are most getting
  • Is engine noise any quieter
  • Can I just do a cam swap or are push rods required

The 57 in your CVO actually needs a tick more compression to optimze it's ability.
At 10.0 cr, you will still
have less ccp than the current heat-producing 255 cam, but more power accross the rpm band.
Some of the "noise" in those is caused by the intense valve spring
pressure created by the Comp Cam(HD-s vendor)springs.
An AV&V beehive would tame that, for example.
With the use of an S&S lifter(vs the imported lifters)and loading the lifter to .140" via a good quality pushrod, such as from S&S, you'll have more power, quieter operation, and much reduced heat once tuned.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but if this path is followed, it will operate and perform with ease.

Would you recommend a different cam for what I am trying to achieve? What I was hoping to do is reduce heat, and increase HP/TQ into higher rpm's. I was really hoping to find a direct bolt on, I only have 5k miles on the bike.

The Andrews 57 h cams are an excellent choice I have them in my 12 Glide. They will reduce the engine temp somewhat because of a later Intake valve closing. The cams will also help to be easier to start for the same reason. The cams will also be somewhat quieter because of a longer duration....all positives... The HP will be close to 100 yea... also the cams are done by 5700. I used my stock pushrods and valve springs. The power vision is also a good choice, sounds like you have done your homework

Andrews 48 is the non-emission version of the 255.
It'll dump some heat, and will carry out further, but the peak numbers will be about the same.
Cam choice is tough as that engine is at only 9.2 mechanical compression, in spite of it's 205-207 ccp, created but the school-bus 255 cam.
Once you are at/near 10.0 cr, there is a plethora of cams to pick/choose from.
Andrews 57, S&S .570, Kury 24D, to name a few.
