evo cylinder boring

Has anyone used cylinders that were bored & honed not using torque plates if so were there any issuse with them thanks.

well,they wont be straight and a good chance they will actully close up to under spec when torqued,DONT use them!find a shop that has the right equipment (we use a VAN NORMAN boring bar & SUNNEN honing equipment)and have them torque plated & checked

I agree 100 percent with Prodrags response. Open boring (no torque plate) is a recipe for a poor build.
