Cam Chain Tensioner Help

I am trying to install a SE Cam Chain Tensioner Hydraulic upgrade kit. I'm using the video from J&P cycles as a guide line. And my manual.

My bike is a 2004 that has a 95" Kit done at dealer when new. Purchased by previous owner. Odometer reads 35K now.

When I lifted the pushrod covers up to cut the stock ones out. It looks like I have adjustable ones in there. My question is if I have adjustable pushrods already? If yes, And How do I get them out?? I have new ones with the kit, so I should replace them right?

See picture below.

Trying to get her SW ready.. any help would be appreciated.

Loosen the jam nut then screw the threaded portion into the tube. Also there shouldn't be any reason to not be able to reuse these which should save you about $125-150.

2011 RGU with more money then sence in it.
Oh and its black because blacks faster.

You have adjustables already that can be reused. Take ( 2 ) 1/2" open end wrenches to hold the top tube and the lock nut and (1) 5/16" open end wrench to hold the threaded stem on the flat side. While holding the top 1/2" wrench and the 5/16" wrench in place turn the other 1/2" in the middle loosening the lock nut.

Once loose, spind the lock down and turn in the threaded stem into the push rod tube until you have shortened it enough to remove it with the push rod tube cover.

Also to help you see this all, get 4 paper clips and rubber bands, open the paper clip to a "V" hook the rubber band into the paper clip, install half of the V shaped paper clip into the bottom of the pushrod tube and stretch the rubber band hooking it over the rocker box top bolt so it will hold up your pushrod tube to see what your doing
