Actually, I have one of the old Zurich plans, $0 deductible, so all the work is done for no cost, not $50.

I feel for ya, Stick. A couple of years ago I was stranded on the highway. Part of the transmission dipstick came loose and caused havoc in the gearbox case... I was lucky since this was covered by warranty just shy of a couple of days!!
But it was still a s*itty day not to mention all the a-holes passing by and just commenting on my "POS" motorcycle..."buy a real mc like a Honda the next time" - oh yeah, f*ck you too!

And the day wasn't complete without the tow-truck-dude arriving after a couple of hours. Now, I have a couple of frineds in that trade and they are professional. But for some reason you always end up with a grease-monkey who will not listen to your advice. He did the exact same thing as on your bike, actually cracking the outer fairing in the process...FFS.

OH NO - NOT THIS GUY...

Sac HD said it should only take about 2-3 weeks to get me back on the road.

Of course, it couldn't have happened at a better time. I just finished rebuilding the engine and rear end in my '62 Chevy C10, so it's in good shape to pick up the Daily Driver mantle. Just a month earlier and I would be walking.

Damn dude... that sucks. The tow story is similar to mine, but thankfully my tow truck driver was also a motorcycle rider. So he knew how to tie down and where. I was very impressed, but this was through Progressive Motorcycle Insurance.

Thankfully the engine didn't freeze and you caught it in time. I have to tell you, this is the first time I've heard of a good end to an extended warranty purchase!

2016 Road Glide Ultra ...And I promised my wife no more mods....

OK, here are a few pictures of my 1962 C10 Shortbed Stepside. BTW, I've had this truck since 2005.

Passenger's side.

Driver's side. I was at a local car show last week. No competition, just show up and show off.

Here's the 1963 327 I have in it. I had just finished rebuilding it in January, but hadn't installed it yet. That's why it is still on the engine stand in the garage.

Here it is after installation. Engine bay is a bit dirty, but it's a 56 year old truck.

This is the truck that started my passion for old Chevys. My first vehicle. A 1963 Chevy C10 Longbed Fleetside. I learned a lot on that truck. I bought it when I was only 15 1/2 years old. It was a rolling basket case, but it ran. By the time I hit 16 and had my drivers license, I had gone through all the major mechanical and it was a solid runner. Not pretty yet, but reliable. This is a shot of it just before I left for Lowry AFB in Denver. I was home on leave to pick up stuff and my truck after boot camp. That's my Father and I in the picture. I had this truck from 1977 until I got married in 1987. I needed the money more than I needed 2 trucks and 2 motorcycles. In the 10 years I owned it, I drove it all over the Western United States. I also ended up doing a full, body off restoration during that time. Something I plan to do to my '62 at some point.
