Lowers Adjustment

I noticed that my right lower has some play in it. While waxing I noticed I could move the top portion an inch or two. Took it apart and tightened up the bolts but it still moves about an inch. Left side solid with no movement. Any tricks on adjusting the lowers?

Is the lower cracked? In any case, get yourself an inner tube and cut out a strip. Wrap that around the crash bar to fatten it up a bit.

Do you have the quick release kit on your lowers?? The reason why I ask is the threads on the quick release kit can get fouled which would give you the appearance that everything is tight. If everything is right there should be very little movement in the lowers.

No quick release kit. I will try taking it off again and reinstalling.
