Biker's Choice 1.25 inch bag guards

I was looking at Bikers Choice 1.25 inch guards as a alternative to a dual rail system from HD. Does anybody have any experience with these? The price seems right on them.

I was also looking at the nostalgic rails from HD. The only thing there is they will leave holes in the front bag guard, and that will look fugly. Does anybody know of a simple good way of plugging these holes? They end up being like 1/2" in diameter.

I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself.--DH Lawerence

What did you have to buy in addition to the guards themselves, specifically the bag supports?

The whole thing is that I have been putting this together on the cheap from Ebay, Craigslist, etc. I have the forward guards, and the bag supports. I bought the forward guards with the holes, I thought that would be the way to go.
The only thing now is finding the parallel side rails at a decent price without rust, rash, etc all over them. So I was combing Ebay last night and I did actually find the classic parallel rails at a decent price and I found the Bikers Choice stuff at a decent price too. So I am just re-considering at this point.
