Road Zepplin Seat Pad

I have a Road Zeppelin seat pad that I purchased about 14-months ago (meaning the warranty has expired). The valve has ffailed and so the pad won't stay inflated more than twenty minutes. I have contacted the dealer and they can't order the valve, though they thought it was reasonable to buy a new pad for $129.95.

Has anyone been able to get a replacement valve? If so, where did you get it?

Alternatively, does anyone have any experience with the Air Hawk or another seat cover? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

On my 2006 Ultra Classic I bought the road zeppelin seat and if in 2008 HD didn't change the damn seat mount I would still have it....loved the seat had it for 5 years. I bought the air hawk pad and had it for less than 6 hours and I returned it. Raised you in the saddle and I felt it was like having a cheaper version of the real thing......" The Road Zeppelin Seat ". I tried the new Zeppelin seat for my 2011 and it doesn't feel the same anymore unfortunately. It will sadly be missed.

I had the same feeling until finding the right pressure.

I rode with it from Americade Lake George, NY to Long Island, NY which is roughly about 4 hours saddle time and I kept playing with it and could never get comfortable with it. So following day it went back to them.

Marober7,
Here's what I did today after my check valve failed.

Bad Valve that leaked. Remove it from the bulb.

Went to my local pet store and bought a fusion check valve
that folks that have aquariums use. It was under $4.00
I took it out of the box but this is is what it looks like

I had some plastic tubing that was the right outside and inside
diameter. Get yours at your local hardware store. Take your parts to make sure they fit and buy as little of it as they'll let you. Jam the tubing a half inch in or so where you took the bad valve out and insert the new check valve in the other end. There is a little arrow
on the check valve which shows which way the air flows so put it in correctly.

There is a nub on both ends of your new valve. I cut the nub off the end of
the valve where the air comes in to make more room in the bulb pocket.
I tested it with the cushion inflated, sat on it and dunked the whole bulb into
a plastic tumbler filled with water to make sure it wasn't leaking.
Done under $4.
