I have seen them in action and they look to operate pretty smoothly but I have no experience with them.

I think it is a great idea and gives me hope there is something out there to keep me on a bike in a few years but when I saw the video on the product I was thinking how bad it would be if for some reason they didn't deploy and you were expecting them to. Hoping by the time I need them there will be enough time with the product for it to be perfected. What I don't know is if that is already the case..

I actually saw them on a bike just yesterday. I talked to the rider when he went back to his bike getting ready to leave. He said he used them when he wasn't able to move his legs very well. He showed me something else I hadn't seen. Wish I had taken pics but he was on his bike talking with his wife when I interrupted lol.

He pointed out that both brake levers were on the handle bars. Both reservoirs were located there as well. Pretty slick ride for what he called a handicapped rider.

About 8 years ago there was a guy in a group I belong to that was run off the road and paralyzed from mid chest down. He decided he wanted to ride again so we raised money to have landing gear setup installed on his sport bike it worked great and the look on his face when he was riding again for the first time was worth it all.

Here in Boise, we have an officer that was recently involved in an incident where he was shot multiple times and paralyzed below the waist. He's had a long recovery, misses riding his Harley, and the local dealership is trying to help outfit a new trike for him to operate. I think it is amazing the things they can do to bikes to make them available to those with disabilities. Fantastic stuff!

If anyone is interested, here is the GoFundMe page for raising donations for the bike.

saw a guy this past weekend with some on his bike. He said he had bad knees, the the gear helped when he had to slow or stop. He said he wasn't ready for a trike yet.

Buddy of mine had some medical issues a few years ago and has trouble riding so he found a place in Washington state to put a sidecar on. They did a great job. He said it was a learning curve though. He had to put about 80 pounds in it while riding solo because in a turn it wants to tip. Been a couple months now and he loves it. Whatever gets you in the wind...
