Kuryakyn is changing

Well here it goes fellow shark tank members, I recently went to purchase a new set of grips for my glide, the ones I put on we not to my liking , went to my local indie bike shop only to be told my favorite grips, pilot grips from Kuryakn we're discontinued, WHAT? I saw there new line had a new brand I guess called heavy industries, well those were not comfy at all, I prefer a larger grip, it's more comfortable for me, so I was very disappointed to say the least. Went home got on eBay and found a pair this morning , thank God. What a shame they seemed to phase out alot of items they used to carry, I guess I am the one of the few who likes a fat grip with slot of rubber, it's alot easier on my carpel tunnel syndrome I have in my wrists as well, I also thought they looked great I had the Iso-grips on my previous two scoots and loved the comfort as well. The grips I removed and sold to my riding buddy were the HD get a grip, did not like them at all, some people love em. Just my two cents on this .

I bought the new fat grips from Avon, absolutely love them. Have you looked at Avon grips?

Like Dbell said look at the Avon grips. I have been using the largest memory foam grips and they feel fantastic. Almost as big as the SAC grips I used a few years back.

I saw a pair yesterday at my local indie bike shop by my but was undecided on them, did like them, they come in three sizes the owner told me but the biggest size he did not have, well at least I found a pair of pilot grips I will have them this week , mount them up for riding this weekend.

I also see the there catalogue seems to be going in a different direction, don't know if ownership has changed but I won't say for the better in my opinion, there popular Ultra tour bag which me and all my buddies purchased years ago has also been discontinued, don't really get that, guess times are a changing.

If you like bigger grips, check out Cool Sac grips Grips - Page 1 - CoolSAC
Best grips I've ever used. Had a set on every bike I've owned for the past few years. Extremely comfortable, look great and really adds to the appearance of the bike.
As well, they hold up extremely well. I've never had an issue with any set I've had...rain, sun, heat, etc and they hold up just fine!

I just learned something new. I've been running Avon grips since the first year they came out with them. I have the Excaliber model and they're sooooo much better than the factory grips. But thanks to you, I'm aware that they now offer them in 3 sizes. I'll likely change mine out for the largest pair as it'll be easier on my arthritic hands. Sandy just the other day told me to "get a grip". I now take that as her telling me it's OK to go buy the new large size grips!

Yes they are changing. Well, really they have changed. The parent company went through bankruptcy a couple of years ago. While some of their stuff is getting better, personally I've never liked much of anything they sold. (Hypercharger? BARF!, but nearly everything else as well)
