Curved license plate bracket with led problem

So our new to us 2012 fltru came with a kuryakyn curved plate bracket and it is broke at the Y that mounts to the fender. I went to our local shop and ordered an HD one with led lights on the side.
I went to install and I don't think it will work. My guess is that the regular RG are different than the ultra on the rear fender. Does this sound correct?
The problem is, the new bracket comes with a rubber plug to replace the HD badge, the wires then route thru the plug. Problem is, my plug just has a 7/16 stud on it and it goes thru the fender and another bracket that appears to be a fender support. There is no way the plug would go into this spot ( as far as I can tell).
Does this sound right to you guys or am I being an idiot?
If this is correct, does anyone know of an led curved bracket that would work?
Any advice, tips, or info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

No it will not fit your Ultra. The RG Custom has just the bullet light bar and it is a different fitment than the Ultra lighting.

If this is the part number of yours it only list the RG and SG for fitment. The paperwork that came in the box should also confirm which bike that part fits.

Thanks for the info.
Any ideas what I can do/get? I like the looks of the one that was on it but not sure exactly what brand it is and don't want to get the same one since it broke. It is made of cast and pretty sure the vibration is what caused it to fail.

Try Custom Dynamics. They make high quality stuff and back it up. Great customer service.

Thanks for replies. I decided to go with the Harley curved plate bracket without LEDs for now. It will work with the 2 holes in the fender and the wife was ready to just get it done so we can ride. Maybe in the future I will look into getting a frame cover with LEDs. I did notice a small hole under the light bracket that I may be able to run the wires thru.
