how to pick the right slip ons

stock 2011 road glide. I have aftermarket now but don't know the make. bought them from a guy I don't see anymore.they sounded awesome on his, but he had lots of motor work done. they sound decent on mine.
the chrome has peeled off the inside edge and now I find the chrome bubbling on the one pipe. they are like 6 years old. weird thing is the bike never sees rain and is hardly ever dirty.

so back to my question. I don't want quiet and I don't want obnoxious. with so many to choose from, how would I know the sound is loud enough? bike weekend in wildwood is next weekend and I could shop there but am looking for suggestions. I see a wide range of prices, but its not like I can hear them before I buy.

A friend of mine shopped by listening to video clips. I forget the brand he went with, but they sound great. I'd never heard of anyone choosing slipons that way.

Have you thought about finding a preowned set of CVO mufflers and recore them? Mufflers about $150 and recores are about $115. Sounds great and performs great also.

This is your best chance at getting it right the first time. Maybe take a close up of yours and we can figure out what you have.

Wilwood, I went there when I was a kid every summer. Ive heard its gone down hill. Lots of good times.

As far as slip ons, is decimal level the most important to you, or performance?

I am down the shore a lot. I still enjoy it. as a teenager around 1980 we were the mopegans. ride the mopeds into wildwood and pool hope at the motels.

its stock so performance is on the backburner. I want it some what loud and sound good. I hear some that are way too loud, no baffles most likely and
some that sound like crap. I want it to rumble at idle and normal riding and to sound kind of loud when getting on it.

I was looking at cobra neighbor haters on line.

You have tons of choices. Like previously said, listen to as many as you can to find out what you like.

I really like my Rhineharts in that if you keep the rpms down and don't snap the throttle, they have a decent rumble but not overly loud. If you decide to spin the wrist, they really open up and let you know when to shift.
