I recently pulled the trigger on a '19 RGS in Industrial Grey Denim...hold your applause, and I've been looking at everything from air suspensions to center stands to stretched bags and handlebars. Problem is... I'm about 8000 miles and about 4 1/2 months from her. In the meantime, I wanted to see what everyone's opinion was on THEIR favorite aftermarket accessory, whether it was one you wished you had installed first or the one you most recently installed. I've got ideas but I like seeing what others have done. Pictures and reasons are welcome, I enjoy hearing the "why" aspect of things.
On my 2018 Fltrx my favorite aftermarket accessory is my police shock absorber seat and Ohlin rear shocks. The stock seat is too low and kills my hips (from having my knees higher than my hips) after only 100-150 miles. On my police seat I was able to do a Saddle Sore 1000 (1039 miles in 18 hours) and felt good enough to ride another 150 miles the next morning just for a fun ride.
I had the same issue with the seating position and went with the Mustang Summit. I too did the SS 1000 on it. Wasn’t sore that day or the next. I’ve been tempted to try the cop seat. When I got the Summit, I thought I’d be riding 2 up.
1. Öhlins rear suspension - wish I would have done that Day 1
2. More comfortable seat - went with a Russell Day Long custom seat. Don’t know that I would go that route again because of the expense. But I’ve used it on three different bikes, so I guess I’ve gotten my money’s worth!
3. Taller windshield to keep the bugs out of my face - Went with Freedom Shields Touring.
Suspension!! If I were to go back in time, that would be the first thing I would get. They are expensive, but night and day difference for me. Then handlebars.
For Ohlins go with Smarty, he is your best source.
I got Legends front and back at Shark Week IX (Plan the trip to Shark Week X in Gettysburg PA) and it was a wow moment when I was riding back from Sturgis to Deadwood.
Öhlins 13" rear shocks (best ride i've ever had on an HD)
CD Pro Beam Turn Signals (haven't had 1 person pull out because they didn't see me)
slip-ons of your choice
(I have a cast one made by the sadly deceased Bob Epstein, an amazing piece but it wont fit the 2017+ touring bikes, so its now an ornament in my man cave)

I rode my Glide yesterday about 600 miles, I have to say having a legends suspension likely saved my back. I also have the fat tire kit in the front which I think really complements that mean mug look.
I have to admit I am not a fan of denim paint I make the exception with the industrial gray that you selected.A road glide S trimmed in black looks really nice. I wonder how those brake calipers would look red with black screens better yet how would they look denim gray with black screens go to a website
gas powder on Instagram
He has an exchange program for Harley calipers I believe they’re $250 I spoke to them more than once said he can shoot colors but he would need a side cover to match the powder obviously there’s an up charge when you see the level of product the shop puts out it’s nothing short of amazing The black interfering looks great black but the speedo tech housing in a matching denim would be a nice compliment as wellcome home safe
#1 Custom Dynamics LEDs all around, and especially their rear stop light flasher (saved my ass multiple times in traffic) - those two tiny brake lights on the RGS are a joke - but since I added the LED brake lights & flasher, people REALLY back off when you hit the binders! I'll never ride without them again.
#2 Madstadd Windshield - fugly as hell - but if you ride any distance at all, it pays for itself on the first trip.
Lots of other great suggestions on here - but those are my two biggies....
The LED's are money! Well worth the extra cost. I am even debating doing a HALO Led for the front.
