Hey Ryan, The wife and i ride this area every chance we get over the summer months. The earlier in the season the better. Meaning, once its tourist season the traffic gets heavy. Make sure you ride the kancamagus highway which i believe is rte 112, we usually pick it up in Bath NH and ride it straight through to north conway ,nh.
If your gonna make a 3 day trip of it, it would not be a waste of time to take a day trip down to Bentleys Saloon 1601 Portland Road Arundel, ME 04046, again its a beautiful ride down and bentleys is good place for eats, bikes and play.

Forgot to mention, taking the auto road up to the top of mnt washington is not what its cracked up to be. Unless its 80 degrees or better at the base you will freeze at the top without proper gear.
We did it,we did it once and unless its a special occasion probably wont do it again.

Lots of great riding within an hour or so. Laconia, loon mtn, kangamangus, North Conway, etc. plenty of pretty roads, covered bridges, etc. lots of small town resorts and b & bs to stay at. The Lake winnipesaukee ride around is great too. Let us know when you are coming. I live in Laconia in the summer and would come say hello or do lunch.

Make sure you have cold weather riding gear with you...temps may be mild at the bottom but there will be a temp change at the top and going up. Did this last year...temps at the bottom was around 70 degrees in the morning...temps at the summit was around the mid 40's.

Plus factor in some wind...definitely worth the trip...hope you all enjoy it.

Here are some teaser pics (2nd pic is a large cloud passing by - cant see a thing behind it):

Shark week was near there 2 years ago and we held a meet & greet in the area last year as well.
You can stay at the Town & Country Motor Inn in Shelburne. 10 minutes to the auto road. But that won't take you all day. Take Rte 2W over to Rte 3N and follow it up to Pittsburg NH and grab lunch in the area. The Spa restaurant is in Stewartstown maybe. Come back down Rte 145 into Colebrook and take Rte 26 down to Rte 16 and on back to the Town & Country on Rte 2. We took this ride last year during the meet & Greet. The roads were just paved.
Check out the meet & greet section here and look up last years weekend event. Uncle Woody's...

Holy Dang, the entire state of NH is beautiful. Make sure you take a few days to explore. Mount Washington, kancamagus highway, lots of train history, great food. The people are great too. Live Free Or Die.
