Keep losing oil pressure gauge light?

I recently noticed that the light on my oil pressure gauge went out. I am using the led upgrades from superbrightleds.com. I pulled the fairing replaced the led, checked that it was working (it did), so I buttoned up the fairing, rolled the bike out of the garage, turned her on (led still good) then started the engine and boom the light goes out again. No other problems all other gauges are lit up properly. I had to order more LEDs so I have to wait before attempting another swap.

Do I have a short some where? Any ideas where I should start looking?

I had a similar problem with my amp gauge itself, turned out to be a loose contact in
the actual 'connector', had to ensure the 'male clip' was pushed into the plastic connector all the way. Might be worth checking on the bulb connector. Good luck

I had the problem with my fuel gauge. The problem was right in the bulb socket. The socket is all molded so there is no way to repair it, I got a new socket at the local HD dealer, it was only a couple of dollars.

I had the same issue to find the lead had come unsoldered from the bulb itself. I took the bulb apart and fixed it

I've been having the same issue with the Air Temp gauge.

I took it apart and fixed the wires on the LED "bulb", tested fine with the fairing off, but the first ride out after the repair, it starting flickering on/off again. Now it's off all the time. At least that's a non-essential gauge and once the flickering stopped, it's not so annoying at night. Thanks for the suggestions about the connector and zip ties. I'll check the connector when I take the clamshell apart next time.
