I had to jump start my bike (2009) today after work. I hade it on a tender all weekend and it sat at work for about 12 hours after a 20 mile commute (early morning about 75 mph most of the way) I got home to check the connections and I found the negative post covered with corrosion. I'm just curious what causes it and how to prevent it. This battery has been in the bike about a year and I hook it up to a tender at night. My last battery didn't have any corrosion when it was replaced.
