Battery Ground Location

Hey gang. Darned if I can figure out where the ground from the battery to the frame/engine is. Does anyone have a picture or can tell me where it would be? I suspect I have a loose ground/corroded ground (meter on dash only shows 11 volts going down the road). I'd like to check the easy things first. Have a new battery in with 12.68 volts when sitting.

2009 FLTR

Thanks in advance.

You may have a bad regulator.

Well ya know the hot goes to the starter and ground to the motor/frame, check from the starter hot to the bolt head by the oil return side of tranny with multi-meter set 20v for batt volts then on batt

That gives me 12.57 volts. So, why does the meter read 11.5 volts at 3000rpm? Should it not read the same for the meter on the dash and what I get with the DVM?
