shifter pawl lever seal

Hello all, Jim from Niagara Falls here.2012 FLTRX 46000mi
just looking for some others thoughts of this subject, I replaced my shifter shaft seal at the beginning of last season, I used the James seal instead of stock, from reading that others said it was better, its leaking again and shaft appears to have .020 side movement, should be looking to replace entire shifter pawl and bushing in the trans case or just slap another seal in there?
thanks
