Stripped screw

Can anyone tell me an easy way to get a stripped screw out of a chrome front fork bolt cover? I got the chrome piece off of the bottom of the fork but the screw is stripped and I cant get it out of the hole, thanks for any help.... I feel like an idiot

Depending on how much is exposed, you might try some needle nose pliers or needle nose vise grips and grab it and tilt at an angle to hopefully press the screw against the walls of it's location enough to spin out.

If the head of the screw is exposed you can cut a slot in it with a hacksaw or a dremel cut off wheel and use a screwdriver in the slot you just cut to get the screw out.

I am going to remember that trick, for sure.

I'd use my dremel motor to cut a slot in the screw that will fit a flat head screwdriver. Then, just unscrew it.

I agree with the other solutions but it it is broken off below the surface drill it with a sharp drill and use a easy out (they do make them small enough )
PS
How did you break it off ?
