Got off work today and started my ride home. About 5 miles down the road I was doing about 70 on cruise control when there was a nice exhaust pop and she fell on her face. I had no fuggin clue what just happened. Pulled the clutch in, threw on my flashers, made my way to the shoulder, and started to assess. Still coasting, I look down and see the CEL on, engine idling, no throttle. I get stopped and look everything over, nothing hanging, nothing leaking, idle sounds fine, and I can only get the RPMs to rise if I twist the throttle all the way open and even then the revs only climb to about 2k. Thinking I'm about to cash in a AAA tow, I hold my breath and turn the ignition off and back on, hit the starter button, give the throttle a light twist and she responds happily. Whew, I can breathe! Rode the rest of the 30 miles home without issue. Called the dealer and they're as puzzled as I am since everything is running normal now it's difficult to pin point it. Heading over there tomorrow after work to have them take a look. According to them, it should be covered under my ESP.
Anybody had something like this happen? From what I've read, if it's the wiring then it won't resolve unless the connector is at least unplugged and plugged back in.
