Question Clanging when breaking in front end

I was told by dealer the clanging I hear on breaking and some down shifting is my front floating rotors.. Anyone else have this? was told its normal.

Someone else just posted about this and it is very common. What they told you is not completely correct but they are close. It is more the bake pads shifting in the caliper. Nothing to worry about.

Not sure what year you have, but I have an 18. On braking I get it, but not on downshifting.

If it is the pads rattling you can use this stuff to coat the back side of the pads. It makes them tacky and sticks to the caliper/pistons. You can get it at pretty much any parts store. I’ve used it for years.
