Coasting, pull clutch in, dies.

So, usually once I get off the highway, or running 4th gear at 2k-3k rpms if I’m coasting up to a stoplight and pull the clutch in the bike will die.
It starts right back up and keeps goin but does it at varying times.
Speedo is out, pretty sure that’s the speed sensor as I cleaned it once and it worked again for awhile.
Red engine light comes on when bike dies and will usually stay on.
Also, bike is a little hesitant to start sometimes and the engine light will stay on for 20-30 seconds upon start up and then go off. That is AFTER I turn the key, flip the switch to “run” and let the engine light go off before starting.
Also get some backfiring/popping upon releasing the throttle in gear.
Also, somewhere in/around the gas tank I hear a hissing sound, that just started, after the dying issue had revealed itself and help would be awesome. I DO NOT have a code reader for Harley’s

Like previously mentioned, what year, model. What engine does it have? Any work done to the engine? Does it have a tuner on it? The "hissing" noise could be a vacuum leak but more info is needed. Was the popping coming from the exhaust or through the throttle body?
