Question Rcl: My19 fltrxs emission lbl

Recall Date 2019-09-27

SAFETY RISK

Please contact your Service Dealer for more information.

Recognized this, today. I called my dealer and they were surprised - didn't know anything about a new recall.

Got an appointment for 9/11 at 1:30PM.

Does anyone here know more about this recall. Please let us know.

The emissions label on the down tube is wrong. The service manager at my local HD shop stopped me today and told me my bike was on the list. I cant remember what he said the recall pays in hrs, but I'll let them do it. They are cool and do stuff for me, I'll let them get some HD money. I didn't get a letter yet and the bike isn't showing an open recall on the app, but he said it's on the list.

A missing label qualifies as a "Safety Risk"?!?!

Not missing....incorrect. They will be swapping out the one that is on there now. And I’m sure HD is being forced to do it by the EPA , not something they chose to do on there own. But yeah the “Safety Risk”, I thought the same thing when the cat told me yesterday. Kinda stupid.

I'm surprised we dont the the Prop 65 label all over the bike. Thanks California for that nugget of uselessness.

If you cannot prove it dont cause cancer. It likely causes cancer. Lol.

Thanks for the info. But why can a wrong label be safety risk. Even it is on a tube and who reading what on the frame? I am checking oil and air regulary and not the labels. Could be done at the next service.
Safety overload

IDK. But my guess. EPA said fix it....NOW. And H-D is complying.

I think a class action law suit is in order. It a label. Stop in the dealer and get it done . Or go to lables .com I think they are selling a non Hd one said to work better.

I think I'd just make my own label: Warning this vehicle may kill butterflies if introduced to them rapidly.
