Another Wobble post with a different twist

So, I took care of my wobble several months ago. If I'm riding with no hands around a curve the bars start to wobble again. I've already adjusted the neck bolt so I'm thinking this may be a tire issue. I'm still on my factory tires. Any thoughts?

(BTW, I know it's stupid to go around turns with no hands so please don't flame me. I'm good at it and I know what I'm doing.)

When I went to my dealer to let them know that my bike pulled to the left when I took my hands off the bars they said" why would you take your hands off the handlebars?". I couldn't believe they said it. That bike should go for miles with the cruise set and no hands! I was not happy. I won't give you a hard time about it. My steering bearing needed to be re-adjusted 2 or 3 times and then again at the 1k service cause the bearing didn't set or some crap the dealer told me.

Might also be front suspension(or, in the case of factory baggers, a lack of front suspension!). Perhaps it just wasn't reacting to the road fast enough, and your front tire was loading/unloading?

I have a 2011 FLTRU and it was perfect at first I now have 2200mi and I noticed I have 8 square weights on the front wheel painted or powder coated black or should I say I had 8 now 7 and I have the infamous wobble. Not too severe but defiantly bad enough to not want. So I'm thinking its a balancing issue. My real concern is why I needed 8 weights on a brand new wheel and tire to begin with, from the factory out of balance apparently. (Posted on similar thread also) Let you know if balancing cures it.

I'm kinda siding with your thoughts. akjeff I think its running to light in the front. Im lowering mine front and rear. Well see if that has any effect on the problem.

\\I have been looking at the new bikes on the showroom floor of many differant dealers and I have seen a few bikes with 7-8 wheel wieghts on them, sorry but I would not buy one with that many weights needed to balance a wheel. Doc

Can be an issue in the triple tree bearings, the suspension itself, or the balancing of the tire...

And there's no reason why a RG shouldn't be able to roll true and straight for miles, with cruise control on, without hands on the bars. It's the most stable of the Harley line.

A little lean and body english and gentle curves can be handled with ease. Deeper curves can be done, but I get a little leary of that kind of thing... too many other factors to worry about when canyoning (reminds me of that infamous Dealers Gap photo of a guy deep in the curve waving to the camera, and subsequently losing it).
