Harley Ignition tool (made by Jim's)

Anyone know of a better idea for an Ignition tool other than paying almost $100 for? It's the alinement tool for putting the ignition back on. In the past I have just worked it until it went in, I didn't know if anyone else had other thing they have done to make it an easier job.

One question, how big of a copper tube should you go with? And what did he put around the tubing?

I used a 1/4" piece of tubing I found at the hardware store - they sell plumbing fixtures with tubing in packages that are about 12" long. After hammering it flat, I then put electrical tape on the whole thing and made a sort of handle to keep it from falling lower than the total length of the ignition module. Simple as can be and then a valuable tool in your tool box that you can show your Harley buddies how cool you are that you can make your own Harley Tools.
