2010 RG fuel tank removal?

Wasn'r sure where to put this? Anyway:

I know how to release the quick disconnect on the fuel line at the left rear of the tanks. My question is: Is there a check valve in the tank that hold the fuel in, or will it drain whatever is in the tank from the nipple after the line is removed?

Just remove the connection like a air tool connection, don't worry for the gaz, there are a stop valve inside

I'd only worry about the gas in the tank only if there's much of it, makes it a PITA to handle due to the extra weight.

Haven't pulled my tank but in case you weren't aware of this ...

My 2011 service manual warns that the fuel in that line is under high pressure (58 PSI) and you risk spraying gas all over the place when you pull it. It suggests to pull the fuel pump fuse and running the bike until it dies - and then hit the starter for an additional 3 seconds. That's supposed to purge all the gas from the line. (Then it says to pull the main fuse before disconnecting the line to prevent any chance of spark - the usual precaution.)

According to the diagram, the fuel pump fuse is the 4th one down in the first column on the left.

HUmmm... i remove my gaz tank this winter, she was at the half, yes the batterie was disconned, but for another raison. I only unclip the fitting under de gaz tank. For sure the tank was heavy, but any other problem than the weigt, i replace the tank, push on the starter and the bike start at the first crank.
