Front Brakes (or lack of)

I have a 2001 SERG. The front brakes are bothering me. The lever has a very long throw before the brakes start working. They work good, just a while before they do. I have drained and bled the fluid two times with fresh dot 5 fluid and no help. I am sure there is no air in the lines. The pads have pleny of thickness left. They are Harley oem pads. What can I try next to get less lever throw before the brakes start grabbing? Thanks!!!

the pistons in the calipers could be dirty and hanging its a common problem since there are no dust boots the brake dust and other grime cause them to not move freely , there is a cleaning procedure here
I would try that first.

is the brake lever OEM? I had the same problem with some after market levers in that the throw was way long. i put the OEM levers back on and the throw was normal.
