Saddlebag lid tether mount posts cracked

I am doing some preventative maintenance for our upcoming trip and discovered the saddlebag tether mount posts on the underside of the lids are cracked and want to repair them. I repaired some cracks on the inner fairing mount posts some time back and don't remember what material (glue, epoxy....) I used on them.

I am open to suggestions on how you repaired yours...

I would try repairing them like you would repair the stripped threads on the upper fairing hole.
Mix up some JB weld and and put a release agent on the screws (I use cooking spray such as Pam) then put the JB in the holes and screw in the screws and after the JB sets up pull the screws. You may want to let the JB setup real good before putting everything back together.

You could JB Weld some aluminum flashing to the outside of the crack also.
