SI had tarter Problem

I had a starter short out on a 2005 Road Glide after sitting in a heavy rain storm. Is anyone aware of any problems? Also what are the tricks to replacing a starter on this bike. Thanks for any help.

if I had to guess it was not the starter that shorted but was either the button shorted or the starter relay You may want to heck them before replacing the starter .
