Removing it isn't the difficult part, getting everything back together in the right place is the fun part.
Take a few pictures for reference as you are taking it off so you know where everything goes and you will be fine.

Just takes time and make sure you mark every thing some pictures also help.
And a place to put all the parts. Pulled forks while I was at it on this one

It is not hard to do and as mentioned before take a few pics it will help. The plugs on the wiring are plug specific which means that each plug is a different design so a male plug will only fit the correct female plug so these plugs do not need to be labeled unless you would like to. The gauge wires, turn signal and speaker wires are typical so you should label them to insure correct installation. If you are removing the instrument nacelle then you should label the speedometer and tachometer plugs as well.

Taking almost anything apart is easy. The true test is seeing how many pieces you have left over when you put it back together.
