Fix a broken tab on inner fairing?

I noticed my right front speaker was flopping in the fairing so I took off the outer. I found that the top left plastic nubbin thingy(scietific name) broke off the inner fairing. I tried using some plastic weld epo epoxy and then clamping it with a c clamp to hold it untill it dried. How ever when I released the clamp this morning it broke off. I am thinking about going to the hardware store and getting one of those little nylon spacer thingys and drilling a little hole in my fairing and ptting a tiny screw thru that and the spacer with a nut to hold the speaker. What do you guys think? any other Ideas?
Bike is an 01 RG.

Not many choices for that. What you said or a new fairing. You might have to do all of them to match. Put up some pictures when done.

Good call! All I could think of was how ugly its going to be. But if I use Stainless hardware and do all of them it may not look bad. Forget a new faring that sh&* is expensive and I am a broke ass.

Keep a eye out for a used inner or call PC Pain and price a new inner. I don't think a stock inner cost too much.

My wife has Matazu lowers on her 2008 RG. They are not bad. The hardware leaves a bit to be desired. But the main components are exact, right down to the OEM mold marks. So if that's any indication, for $200 bucks, you can't go wrong.

Try Bondic.

Bondic The worlds first liquid plastic welder. 4 seconds and fixed.

I've used it a few times so far and it really does work. All you do is put it on and shine the LED light on it for about 12 seconds. It's like the stuff the dentist uses to put crowns on (where the shine that blue light in your mouth to cure it). I got mine at Ace Hardware but I'm sure you can find it at Home Depot, Lowes, probably even Walmart.

Try this stuff. It works. I am not a spokesman for Plastifix. Simply a satisfied customer.

I can concur somewhat on this stuff. I have recently patched up a couple of cracks at the windshield mount holes . I am getting ready to redo two of the mounting tabs on the outer fairing so will see if it holds.
