Question To flash, or not to flash

2016 ROAD GLIDE SPECIAL
I have installed the CB module, swapped out the right handlebar switch pack for the push to talk button, made my own right hand antenna mount (thanks to another member). All looks good, boombox recognizes CB, but I feel like it's not 100% functional.
So that's where I am. My question, is do I need to have the HD dealer "flash" my boombox or not?

Thanks, Dave

CB install should not require a dealer flash, what do you think you are missing?

I wouldn't let my dealer flash my radio with a 10-foot pole. If everything is working, count your blessings and forget about it. Now, I'm talking about the flash that's done with the DT, not a radio software update (which you can do on your own).

Thanks for the response and you are correct. After going to 2 different dealers, one was honest and said it did not require a flash. I found answers from a few questions on "how to's" from a master technician that resolved all my problems. I did not know that setting in the am/fm area effected setting in the CB as well. That and proper use of the home button left and right (previous and next) .

All is good..........thanks, Dave
