Want to swap out the stock bolts for new chromies. Can I do this without screwing up the torque pattern. I want to swap out 1 bolt at a time going clockwise . I may be overthinking this. Opinions ?

That's how I would do it. So long as it's one at a time. I see no issue.

I would pull them and replace in the torque sequences listed in the service manual if it was me. And you're gonna have to at a minimum undo the header to get at the bottom two bolts, and the front heat shield for a 3rd.

One for one swap is a completely acceptable way to change fasteners without disturbing the integrity of the joint. Hell we do it on Nuclear Submarines, should work here as well. Just make sure you are at final torque on the current fastener before disturbing the next one. If you want to be completely anal, after all fasteners are swapped out, do a check pass following the service manual torque pattern to verify everything is complete.

^ This. I did all the chrome bolt kits on my engine this way. No leaks.
