Need suggestions on my 06

Hi all....I have an 06 RG with Supertrapp exhaust and the screaming eagle stage 1 air kit. They were both in when I bought the bike 2 years ago. Here's my question....I just installed the screaming eagle high flow air intake...the one with the big exposed K&N style filter. Do I need to get my computer flashed or will it compensate for the change ??? I'm not sure if the previous owner had it flashed when he installed the Supertrapps and stage one. Thanks for any help / advice....L J

If it was running fine with the old Stage 1 Filter you should be fine with just changing to the new SE Filter. Chances are the prior owner compensated when the exhaust and filter was first changed.

If it was not and/or is not running well after the change I would suggest getting a tuner of your choice that will allow you to make changes if necessary at will and staying away from the Dealer Download/Flash.

I prefer the DynoJet Power Vision Tuner but there are many that will work as needed.

Welcome to the forum by the way...........

Welcome from CT. Like stated before, if it ran fine before, and runs fine with the new set up then you should be fine. If it already had a hi flow air filter the previous owner shouldve taken care of that already

Thanks guys.....very helpful ! I know it seemed to be running a hair rich with the stage 1 and. Installing the new Hi-flow would only lean it up if anything. I love our people at Laugermans Harley but regardless of who the dealer is they always try to convince you that you need a download every time you do a change. A guy once told me the factory pcm will compensate for some changes. Thanks again .....excuse me now for I must go for a ride.....lol
